Crippling Focus does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or share any personal data. The extension has no server, no backend, and makes no network requests of any kind.

2. What's Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your browser:

• Your current focus session status (setup, active, or done)
• Task and goal text you enter during session setup
• Timer duration and session timestamps
• Your focus score and rank

You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome.

3. No Third-Party Services

Crippling Focus does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services. There are no cookies, no fingerprinting, and no external scripts loaded at runtime.

4. Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions, used solely to provide the focus session functionality:

• tabs — to redirect tabs back to your session while locked in
• storage — to save your session data locally on your device
• alarms — to trigger session end after your timer expires
• declarativeNetRequest — to block navigation during active sessions
• scripting — to display the focus overlay on active tabs
• notifications — to notify you when your session ends

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit any data.

5. Children's Privacy

Crippling Focus does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

6. GDPR

As this extension collects no personal data, there is no data processing activity to disclose under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The developer is based in Lithuania, within the European Union.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
